A new set of questions and answers about Processed Animal Proteins (PAPs) is now available on the EFPRA website. The reapproval of PAPs for use in pig and poultry diets is currently under discussion by the EU. During this period, EFPRA anticipates increased interest in PAPs from a wide range of people and organisations.
The Q&A provides answers to some of the most common questions about PAPs including about legal rules and regulations, how PAPs are produced, what it means for consumers and how animal safety is maintained at all stages of the supply chain.
